Strategic Decisions: Survey, Taxonomy, and Future Directions from Artificial Intelligence Perspective

چکیده
Strategic Decision-Making is always challenging because it inherently uncertain, ambiguous, risky, and complex. By contrast to tactical operational decisions, strategic decisions are decisive, pivotal, often irreversible, which may result in long-term significant consequences. A decision-making process usually involves many aspects of inquiry, including sensory perception, deliberative thinking, inquiry-based analysis, meta-learning, constant interaction with the external world. Many unknowns, unpredictabilities, environmental constraints will shape every aspect a decision. Traditionally, this task relies on intuition, reflective visionary insights, approximate estimates, practical wisdom. With recent advances artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) technologies, we can leverage AI/ML support decision-making. However, there still substantial gap from an AI perspective due inadequate models, despite tremendous progress made. We argue that creating comprehensive taxonomy decision frames as representation space essential for could offer surprising insights beyond anyone's imaginary boundary today. art possibility. Fog Computing: A Taxonomy, Survey and Future Directions
In recent years, the number of Internet of Things (IoT) devices/sensors has increased to a great extent. To support the computational demand of real-time latency-sensitive applications of largely geo-distributed IoT devices/sensors, a new computing paradigm named ”Fog computing” has been introduced. Generally, Fog computing resides closer to the IoT devices/sensors and extends the Cloud-based c...

Across much of the field of Al, a gap exists between research scientists seeking to extend the frontiers of knowledge and practitioners in Industry and government seeking to solve important applied problems using Al technology. Addressing this gap, this panel will discuss significant applications of the 1990's whose development will depend on advances in Al beyond the horizon of today's knowled...

Highly scaled CMOS devices in the nanoscale regime would inevitably exhibit statistical or probabilistic behavior. Such behavior is due to process variations and other perturbations such as noise. Therefore current circuit design methodologies, which depend on the existence of deterministic and uniform devices with no consideration for either power consumption or probabilistic behavior, would n...
متن کاملLung, Artificial: Current Research and Future Directions
Artificial lungs are medical devices designed to take over or supplement the respiratory function of the lung: oxygenating the blood and removing carbon dioxide. They are generally classified as extracorporeal, paracorporeal, intravascular, or intrathoracic devices (Fig. 1). The artificial lungs used clinically today are extracorporeal blood oxygenators, primarily used in operations requiring c...
